Community & Moderation Guidelines

Welcome to OutOut! We are building a vibrant community where users can discover nightlife, coordinate with friends, share experiences, and review venues. To ensure OutOut remains a safe, fun, and inclusive environment, all users must abide by the following Community Guidelines.

1. Respect and Inclusion

OutOut is for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind.

• Do not post reviews, comments, or images that attack or demean any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Harassment of venue staff, promoters, or other users, whether in-app or organized via the app, will result in immediate suspension.

2. Venue Reviews and Ratings

Reviews should help the community make informed decisions about where to go. They must be honest, relevant, and based on your own actual experiences.

• No Fake Reviews: Do not post reviews for venues you haven't visited, and do not accept payment or incentives in exchange for positive or negative reviews.
• No Spam: Do not post identical reviews across multiple venues or use the review section to promote an unrelated business.
• Keep it Clean: Profanity, sexually explicit language, or graphically violent descriptions are not permitted in reviews.
• Privacy: Do not dox or post the personal identifying information (full names, phone numbers) of venue staff or other patrons.

3. Content Moderation & Enforcement

To keep OutOut safe, we utilize a combination of automated systems, user reporting, and human moderation.

• Reporting: Users and venue owners can report reviews or profiles that violate these guidelines. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 48 hours.
• Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any content—including reviews, profile pictures, and event comments—that we deem to violate our guidelines or Terms of Service without prior notice.
• Account Action: Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on the severity of the offense. Severe violations (such as hate speech or illegal activity) will result in an immediate permanent ban.

4. Illegal Content & Safety

Do not use OutOut to facilitate or promote illegal acts, including but not limited to the sale of illicit drugs, underage drinking, violence, or human trafficking. Any content of this nature will be removed, the offending account banned, and the incidents may be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

5. Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was suspended, and you believe this was done in error, you may submit an appeal by contacting moderation@goingoutout.app. Our team will review the decision and respond within 5-7 business days.
